DJ Ipek Ipekcioglu is working on a Isreali-Polish-German theater production "Muranooo" , she is doing the sound-design and music-production of the show.
This production will have it's premiere in Poland in Warsaw, premiere on the 12th May 2012 and Israeli premiere in Tel Aviv on the 26th or 27th June.
**Below some information**
Muranooo - A Story Of Ghosts And Ghost Whisperers.

Israeli - Polish – German Co-production 2012
A black comedy brewed by young and promising Polish writer Sylwia Chutnik, director Lilach Dekel-Avneri and designer Iris Mualem & DJ Ipek Ipekcioglu, offers an innovative alternative to examine stereotypes, stigmata, and ignorance and ways of coping with an uncomfortable mutual past.
The story of a Polish grandmother, unrestrained and consumed with guilt, who lives in the Muranow quarter, built on the ruins of the Warsaw ghetto. In unusual and controversial ways, the granny seduces her grandchildren to go down to the cellar and dig into the past, where in the depths await them “Jewish treasures”.
A multidisciplinary event, combining Artists from Israel, Warsaw and Berlin, that also opens a crack into Ka.Tzetnik's attempt to assemble the fractions of the moment in the wake of Poland's occupation in 1939.
"Muranoo0” will premiere on May 12th in Poland at Dramatyczny Theatre in Warsaw, and on June in Israel at Ensemble Itim on Nachmani St, Tel-Aviv.

ntation and Discussion: Şevval Kılıç: Trans-Sexwork and police repression in Istanbul
Turkey has a very high rate of trans murders (25 have been reported since 2008). Although homo/transsexuality is not technically criminalized by law, systematic violence against LGBT people is widespread. Police officials get extra credit when they fine trans ipeople; the law/criminal justice system doesn’t work for but against trans people by making them targets instead of taking the violence and murders of trans people seriously. Nevertheless, LGBT movement in Turkey gains power and visibility against oppression each year. As police and state repression increases in tandem with conservative neo-liberal goverment, the trans movement also grows and gets stronger.
This presentation interconnects forms of violence against trans people, focusing on the situation of trans-sexworkers in İstanbul and the ways they organize against current and ongoing police repression.
Şevval Kılıç is an activist of İstanbul LGBT Association and one of the main organizers of İstanbul Trans Pride.
The event will be in English with Turkish and German whisper translation.

KONZERT: Sound of Resistance – Turkish-Kurdish-Folkstep-Protest-Punk
Hakan Vreskala
„Her Köyde Bir Deli Var“
at Südblock 30.4.2011 afterparty DJ Ipek – Eklektik BerlinIstan
Hakan Vreskala, „Her Köyde Bir Deli Var“ at Südblock 30.4.2011

By the end of 2011 Ipek Ipekcioglu took part at the Delighted Festival a project together with the Ensemble Olivinn at Atze Musiktheater, in which opera is combined with hip-hop music. OpeRap has shown how Romantic opera arias slowly devi
ate from classical patterns when DJ Ipek infixes her beats and loops. The Streetdance-formation FOOTWORK deluxe incorporates these contrasting impulses and encloses another layer to this artistic fusion live on stage in Berlin.
